Company History

Total Aircraft Services, Inc. (TAS) incorporated in 1992 as an engineering consulting firm providing services relating to aircraft design, analysis, and FAA certification. Since inception, TAS has shown continued growth with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and has established itself as a distinguished firm supporting a variety of aircraft projects. TAS’ expertise ranges from new aircraft development to military and airliner modifications with a concentration in business aircraft operations and special missions requirements.

TAS’ experience as a prime contractor for projects requiring part manufacture, installation, and certification provided a natural path toward establishment of an in house modification center. TAS opened a facility at the Van Nuys, CA airport in 1998 to support a special missions G-II project using a NASA-JPL radar mapping system. TAS successfully grew this operation into a maintenance and modification facility and became an FAA certified Repair Station, which was quickly upgraded to Unlimited Class 3 & Class 4 Ratings. In early 2004, TAS divested the repair station holdings and reorganized its core business model to concentrate on the company’s technical expertise and capabilities.

Today, TAS continues evolving as a center of excellence in various aspects of aviation. TAS provides engineering consulting support for developmental projects, is expanding our value with proprietary Supplemental Type Certificate kits using new technologies, and is supporting Homeland Defense and Military projects.

The company’s structure, culture and personnel assure continued success in any pursued venture.
