TAS Certification
TAS has supported programs involving new aircraft designs
requiring Type Certificates, modifications to aircraft requiring
Supplemental Type Certificates, modifications approved through
the FAA Form 337/Field Approval process, and programs requiring
Military/NASA approval. Management of the certification
process is the true key to success for a project of this
scope. TAS' approach is based on our extensive experience
in FAA Certification projects.
Typical of Certification projects, this effort
involves:
-
Coordination
of multiple support vendors
-
Timely
completion of all relevant engineering packages
-
Quick
disposition of discrepancies as they arise
-
Incorporation
of engineering changes as needed
-
Careful
address of customer concerns
-
Management
of FAA/Governing authority concerns
-
Careful
choice of team DER's and coordination of these participants
-
Response
to mid-course changes dictated by FAA certification issues,
customer needs, and schedule
Aside from our on Staff DER's with Structures
delegation for Part 23 & 25 aircraft, we also have an
extensive team of DER's in the western US region and will draw on DER's from across the
country when a project warrants a specific skill set. Many
of the DER's used are former FAA personnel or company DER's
who are now consultant DER's with specialty expertise. The
mix of DER's to be used is determined based on project requirements.
